Harmony of Energy in Context

Everything is energy. With this phrase we easily understand how our creation works as social individuals. In times of competitiveness in sports, politics, opinions, etc., we perceive that neither of the two extremes is right or wrong, each part has important points that we must consider to build in a solid way with the same purpose: focusing our energy (attention, thoughts, words, actions, feelings) in building an integral society, in which the conscious meritocracy and the contribution are the foundation (click here to read about helping and contributing).

According to the Oxford dictionary, harmony is the quality of forming a pleasing and consistent whole. From this definition we can perceive that que reason for one extreme to exist is its opposite (click here to read about polarities), hence the importance of building as close as possible to neutrality. How do we do that? Simple, we can put into practice the following actions in our own experience:

  1. Discovering our talents: we are all born with some talent, is what we do naturally well and keeps us in a state of flux, calm and creating..
  2. Developing and contextualizing our talents: when we have discovered our talents, it’s necessary to develop them and integrate them into the social context we’re in, maintaining our common purpose.
  3. Contributing: as we specialize, we understand that it is essential to contribute with our intention, because every thought, feeling, word and action focused on the common purpose allows us to build efficiently and sustainably.
  4. Allowing communication to flow: with a common purpose, communication focused on expanding perspectives must flow to consciously integrate the most appropriate possibilities for the moment.
  5. Flexibility: every purpose must be adjusted, because we are all in constant transformation, so as we become more aware we perceive that we need to be flexible to integrate new elements and even discard what is unnecessary for our purpose.

May our words be to build and suggest from our own wisdom (knowledge and experience), may our talents be at the service of everything that exists, may the responsibility for our own energy be assumed and we trust the fact that we’re all committed from our heart to integrity, transparency, respect and coherence (click here to read about our coherence).

Contributing Vs. Helping

Reflecting on the way we express ourselves is essential when we seek the transformation of patterns in our reality, that’s why I share the analysis of two words that, despite being synonyms, have a different essence that makes the difference between the intention behind of our actions.

When we pay attention to the way in which we use the word “help”, we realize that we start from the base that who needs to be helped lacks something, for this reason, lately, I’ve decided to use the word “contribute”, because it means giving the part that corresponds to us where we are, this way we understand that we all have what is necessary to do what corresponds to us, as a cell we must take responsibility for our function, working together with the other cells that have their way and appropriate measure of contribution.

Our experience as social individuals can be approached from many perspectives, we’ve been so long focusing our energy on beliefs such as inequality (inferiority/superiority) and emotions as pity, it’s time for us to open our hearts and connect with our truth, in order to realize that we are all capable beings and responsible for our own existence, that we only need to channel our efforts into our personal talents focused on a common purpose of building from our heart.

From now on we can choose the most conscious way of contributing, of giving what corresponds to us and receiving with gratitude what corresponds to each cell of this great organism, this way, the functioning becomes more efficient, because the flow of energy increases and allows us to act as a team, in which we know our own responsibility and do our part with conviction.

Let’s remember that our society is a reflection of who we are, a more society with integrity depends on the integrity of each one of us, from every little detail.

Conscious Children: 6 actions to harmonize our home

We’re all children, sometimes we create bonds with new people in our lives who welcome us as family, others live the experience with our blood family, at the end we’re all children and being a child is to find a way of integrate to our parents through respect and love. Now that we know how to exercise respect (click here to read the text about respect) we can understand better what we can do as children every day.

Our parents share their experience and show us different ways of living. The fact of having them in our lives doesn’t mean we have to be like them but that we can learn from them and teach them (click here to read the text about differences). Family is a structure full of diversity in which, when applying acceptance and respect (click here to read the text about conscious respect), we are able to enrich our points of view to integrate them into our experience.

Let’s see some useful actions to harmonize family life by being more conscious children:

  1. Absorb the best from around avoiding judgement.
  2. Take resposibility for our lives, avoiding blame.
  3. Colaborate with harmony and maintenance of home.
  4. Establish and respect space and boundaries (click here to read the text about boundaries).
  5. Be open to communication.
  6. Thank for being in Family.

In our home we can, in a more relaxed way, learn to live by pleasure, with no obligation. When we empower ourselves of home we discover the importance of teamwork. As children we must understand that we are all different and in order to work on family challenges it’s important that we learn to communicate. Usually, parents give their best from their experience, although in the eyes of some it seems the opposite. Neither the children, nor the parents have manuals, for this reason it’s important to create a healthy space for communication in which the points of view can be expressed in an environment of acceptance and respect.

I decide to be an active part of the harmony and maintenance of my own home right here and right now. What about you?

How did I get rid of my Rhinitis?

The title of this article is an easy question to answer: by transforming habits which caused it. To understand the meaning of this answer, I want to tell you what led me to understand my own rhinitis process in order to know the cause and to be able to establish new constructive habits, it’s not about getting rid of something, but to integrate it as a resource that assists us to know our body and decide our experience.

From the age of 15, I began to manifest crises of rhinitis that lasted almost all the year, I used to live in a cold city and I was getting even more sedentary. Then, living in warmer cities, and going back to physical activity, I started feeling better, until the cold or the sedentary life showed up again, worsening my rhinitis, but I felt used to it, despite feeling bloated and tired for most of the day. At one point in my life, researching on nutrition, I read about the blood type diet, and I decided to avoid the consumption of milk and dairy products to the maximum, which, at the time, was very appropriate to understand that we are what we eat.

The rhinitis was diminishing, even on cold days and in those that I didn’t do any physical activity, it was at that moment that I began to analyze the effect that temperature and nutrition had in my body. Researching a little more, I discovered that toxins leave the body through sweat and mucous membranes. At that moment, I realized that this was the reason why my rhinitis crises coincided with the temperature of the body, when I feel cold I don’t sweat enough, even less if I don’t exercise, then, the elimination of the toxins is concentrated in the mucous causing different inflamations inside the body, especially when the amount of toxins is very high, and in my case, that I used to love cheese, when I ate I already knew that I would feel congested when my body expelled what it can’t process through mucous and sweat.

After understanding the process, I remembered that, in the moments in my life when I was better, I used to consume only the necessary food, was in warmer places and/or did some physical activity, then, from the knowledge integrated to my experience, I built my own wisdom about my rhinitis, these have been my empowering habits ever since:

  1. Almost zero consumption of milk and dairy products: it is important to integrate foods with calcium to do this, in my case, I bet on germinated seeds (flax, sesame and almonds) (click here to read about plant sources of calcium).
  2. Almost zero consumption of processed foods: there are many substances present in this type of food that the body can not process and/or use in the nutritional process, in my case, I try to find foods rich in vitamins and minerals (fruits and seeds) and consume them blended in order to enhace their absorption (click here to read about absorption of nutrients)
  3. Breathing through the nose: because of the rhinitis, many of us get used to breathing through the mouth, which reduces the space of the air passage of the nose, so, it is important to practice nasal breathing, so the air passage is enlarged and the nose complies its function of filter and temperature regulation of the air that enters the lungs to oxygenate the body.
  4. Postural awareness: by being aware of the function of our bones, joints and muscles, we can integrate constructive posture habits when sitting, lying down, standing or walking, I’ve perceived that it is a sufficient basis to keep the body active and thus make its processes more efficient.

By learning about our bodies and building habits that construct mental, emotional, sentimental and nutritional integrity, we can build the state of health and energy we want. What about you? Do you know what habits you need to transform to feel healthy?

Less Polarization Generates More Integration

Throughout my life what I’ve noticed most is the way in which polarization generates segregation, if a person thinks one way, and from their perspective what the other think is wrong, then any kind of contact is avoided or conflict is generated, which makes us forget that we are only human beings, neither better nor worse, neither more nor less than others.

Extreme polarization exists because of a lack of self-confidence and a lack of available information, especially for making decisions, because this creates fear of the unknown, but what happens when we spend time in a place we trust, with people we trust? We find tranquility, and this is necessary for us to understand that the most appropriate decisions for each of us depends on our own experience, wisdom, and time.

In times of elections, sporting championships, or any moment where several perspectives seek the support of other people, we begin to know the habits of the people around us, be they segregators or integrators. It is common to see that the perspective and willingness to “be right” blind us and lead us to make decisions, which are often not consistent with what we believe, from the information we have chosen to integrate (limited in many cases by our radical perspective), but the same fear of the unknown from other perspectives leads us to radicalize and segregate without having full knowledge of the decision we are making.

When we realize this, we can choose to change our habits, we can listen more without needing to justify our position or convince others, we can inform ourselves more objectively about the options available and confront them with our values to find coherence, we can respect the differences, because it is from there that we can build what brings us the true tranquility, we can trust.

Lately, I’ve realized that people who are focused on building themselves, expressing their personal talents, and connecting assertively with the appropriate people to build projects that impact society constructively and integratively, are the ones who are transforming our society, since only by recognizing the differences, and building from them, we can have the tranquility we need, from acceptance. Let’s integrate more in all areas of our lives, both personal and social, we don’t need to be part of a party, a team, or a group, we are already part of the world, let’s do our part, let’s build.

Feng Shui: Orientation For Our Integral Development

Following the line of integrating habits that allow us to enhance our personal development, in Feng Shui we find that there is an orientation that favors our self-knowledge and the way in which we integrate it into the context, depending on our year of birth and our gender. In these days I’ve been analyzing different periods of my life and I realized that the ones that were more complicated happened when I was sleeping or working for a long period of time during the day, towards certain cardinal points, which, for me, are more resistant, but since I’m aware of my most appropriate orientation, I feel that my personal process has been enhanced. The secret of flowing with life includes understanding our limits and then working with our strengths to continue our evolution, so our orientation is part of the process of placing ourselves where we find the point of least resistance, to use our energy efficiently.

Let’s remember that, in order to do these calculations, it is important that we take into account the fact that the new year in China begins in February or March of our year, so if we are born before April, it is recommended that we search the internet for when there was a change of year when we were born, because if it hadn’t changed, we have to use the date of the previous year. Let’s start by adding the last two digits of our birth year until we get to one digit (Example: 88=8+8=16 = 1+6=7) and follow the most appropriate case among the following:

  1. Women who were born before 1999 (x+5): must add 5 to the digit that resulted from the sum of the last two digits of the year of birth, and revert it to a digit if there is more than one digit. (Example: (1989) –> 89=8+9=17=1+7=8….8+5=13 = 1+3 = 4).
  2. Women born from the year 2000 on (x+6): must add 6 to the digit that resulted from the sum of the last two digits of the year of birth, and revert it to a digit if there is more than one digit. (Example: (2001) –> 01=1+0=1…1+6 = 7)
  3. Women who had as final number 5: must follow the orientation of number 8.
  4. Men who were born before 1999 (10-x): must subtract the digit that resulted from the sum of the last two digits of the year of birth to 10, and turn it back into one digit if there is more than one. (Ejemplo: (1988) –> 89=8+9=17=1+7=8…10-2)
  5. Men born from the year 2000 on (9-x): must subtract the digit that resulted from the sum of the last two digits of the year of birth to 9, and turn it back into one digit if there is more than one. (Ejemplo: (2001) –> 01=0+1=110-9)
  6. Men who had as final number 5: must follow the orientation of number 2.

Now that we have our number we can adjust whatever is necessary to keep us oriented in the most appropriate way possible during our day. These are the numbers and orientations: 1: North, 2: Southwest, 3: East, 4: Southeast, 6: Northwest, 7: West, 8: Northeast, 9: South.

Let’s orientate ourselves into the right direction, especially in the places we spend the most time, such as our workplace or our bedroom. While we are standing or sitting, our face must be towards that direction, when we lie down, it is our head that must be in that direction. Let the energy flow.

More Energy and More Nutrients: 3 seeds rich in omega and more

We already know the importance of proteins in our diet, due to cell regeneration (click here to read full text), and carbohydrates, essential for generating energy (click here to read full text) in the body.

Now we integrate the action of the necessary fats. Fats are the important macronutrient to form the cellular structure. In the book Human nutrition in the developing world(available in English atFood and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations – FAO website), Professor, Michael C. Latham says that  that fats, lipids, give energy to the body, if you increase the consumption of foods rich in healthy fats you can reduce the consumption of carbohydrates, because each gram is equal to 9 calories, which in carbohydrates represents 5 calories less per gram. Fat serves as a vehicle that helps the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, being necessary for good nutrition.

The body needs a balanced consumption between the different types of omega acids 3, 6 and 9. So we must make intelligent changes like avoiding the use of oils, margarines or butter to cook (or use olive oil that supports a higher temperature ), Consume olive oil at room temperature and increase the consumption of dry drupes. Let’s see some dry drupres to include in our diets:

  1. Walnuts
  2. Macadamia nuts
  3. Flaxseed

With a smart consumption of fats we will give our body a developmental environment and energy with a greater amount of nutrients.

Chakras and Earthly Experience

As we integrate information more consciously, we realize that all areas are a reflection of human beings, for example we can see in civil engineering how it is essential to build solid foundations, with quality materials, from a clear purpose, or in agronomy the importance of nurturing and caring for what we sow, then, now, according to the purpose of the title of this text, we can integrate the energetic concepts of the chakras into our earthly experience.

According to different perspectives in the world (Hinduism, Theosophy, Gnosticism, New Age) the chakras are the main energy centers in our body and are integrated into our physical, mental, emotional, sentimental and expressive world. Currently we can find 7 chakras directly related to our earthly experience, for this reason the connection list between chakras and our lives has 7 points, let’s understand how we can integrate them to our experience in a constructive way:

  1. Experience from birth to 7 years old (chakra muladhara/root): this chakra, represented by the color red, is that of our anchorage to the earth, as children we need to learn to relate to the environment, to communicate, to develop our safety , so it is necessary for us to be as integral examples as possible for the children who arrive on the planet.
  2. Experience from 7 to 14 years old (chakra svadhisthana/sacrum): this chakra, represented by orange color, is our creative force/expression and energizing center, it is time to acquire habits that build our cells and discover our talents, to learn how to create/express from our hearts what we flow with, so it is necessary to foster conscious experimentation, and with proper guidance.
  3. Experience from 14 to 21 years old (chakra manipura/solar plexus): this chakra, represented by the yellow color, is the center of our emotions, the whole belief system that we have received (consciously or unconsciously) manifests itself into emotions, and so we begin to relate from a more energetic point of view that can be used to learn about our interaction with others to decide what we want to take from everything we have learned to our next phase. When, during this period, we feel at peace, the tendency is for us to strengthen our identity, otherwise we will enter into a search for something that we haven’t learned until we feel that we’ve found it. With solid foundations that allow us to be who we really are, and express ourselves constructively and transparently, we use this period to enhance what we have perceived and constructed since birth.
  4. Experience from 21 to 28 years old (chakra anahata/heart): this chakra, represented by the color green, is the center of our feelings, where we integrate our experience. This period leads us to understand, in a more rational way, that we can build feelings and realities from our belief system and our expression. Realizing that, what manifests itself in our life is 100% our responsibility, from our decisions, we can focus on constructing our integrity by understanding that everything has an effect around.
  5. Experience from 28 to 35 years old (chakra visuddha/throat): This chakra, represented by the blue color, is the center of the expression/communication of our own truth. For this chakra to be developed it is essential to be connected to our natural talents, to our true identity, to the idea that we are all part of the same living organism. In this period, with the certainty of what we want to construct, we find the need to express ourselves in the most assertive, transparent, coherent and respectful way possible, this allows us to connect more authentically with everyone and everything around us. Our actions, words, gestures and expressions align with our heart.
  6. Experience from 35 to 42 years old (chakra ajna/third eye): this chakra, represented by the indigo color, is the center that allows us to clearly perceive the motives behind actions, as we perceive reality as it is, our abilities empower us even more because we learn to relate more assertively to appropriate beings to construct as a team and to make more conscious and assertive decisions in all areas of our lives. Here the tendency is to find the appropriate measure of everything for our own life.
  7. Experience from 42 to 47 years old (chakra sahasrara/crown): this chakra, represented by the violet color, is the center of our sense of belonging to the whole, allows us to understand that everything external is a reflection of within and we are more conscious about what we want to manifest from our vibration (feelings, emotions, thoughts, words and actions) to construct with the most appropriate conscience from our talents integrated into the context.

These processes can be developed at any time in our lives, our perception allows us to accept the experience as it is, it is always time to integrate different perspectives that allow us to find our center of peace, where we integrate our 3 lower and higher chakras, our heart . As a prism we can crystallize our experience from the colors.

4 steps to transform our, not so necessary, needs

To transform our minds (click here to read about constructive mind) and focus that energy on the empowering construction of our lives, ans others’, is not always enough practicing to see the constructive side of the situations, sometimes we need to go deeper in order to understand our personal beliefs system (click here to read about beliefs) and the needs behind itself, since when we aknowledge the need, that generate the belief, and transform it, we are able to, efectively, acting different in a coherent way (click here to read about coherence).

At some moments it seems difficult to think something constructive about a certain situation so we can empower our thoughts and beliefs and in that moment we must stop to analize the origin of that internal discomfort, that means there is something we haven’t considered yet, our own needs.

We always build a reality along with certain needs, that can, or not, be ours. For this reason it’s very useful to spend some time living in a different way from the one we’ve always lived, by changing that, we perceive that not all we thought we need we really need.

Now that we understand better what a need is and its effect, let’s learn an easy way of working it out.

  1. Identify the need that leads us to the belief that leads to discomfort to be empowered.
  2. Analize if the need is really necessary.
  3. If it’s not necessary we can change our need.
  4. If it’s necessary we should align the believe and the thought with it and have the courage to transform the situation through action.

To have harmony in our lives, it is important to change the perspective, some aspects will be easier to work, others less, the important thing is that we always seek integration.

Respectful Connection: 5 steps to exercise respect

To build every relationship it is very important to exercise RESPECT, with ourselves and others, for it is a constructive value. When we respect ourselves, and set our boundaries, we create a clear channel of communication with the world (click here to read about transparency). And if in doing so we add the intention of repecting the other’s boundaries we will be building a solid foundation for each relationship. 

RESPECTING our own boundaries, and others’, is to understand that we’re all different and that’s a part of the construction of who we are, and the place we live in, and be willing to interact by absorbing the most appropriate of each situation, avoiding attacking anyone. What we’ve considered as negative or positive, at some point, may switch sides according to our experiences, what is a real fact is that, no matter the side they’re at, experiences are part of our lives and our development. So everybody deserves our respect, the same we give to someone who teaches us something.

The next 5 steps helps us to exercise respect:

  1. To respect ourselves and set our personal boundaries coherent and assertively (click here to read about setting boudaries).
  2. To respect others’ boundaries.
  3. To avoid giving opinions that haven’t been requested.
  4. To obeserve the way we express ourselves about others and transform it into  constructive one.
  5. To check the constructivity of what we are about to express before doing it.

Following these steps we transform the way we realete to the world, which, in turn, brings us new perspectives and possibilities. RESPECT OTHERS the way YOU want to be RESPECTED.
